CSR – CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a self-regulated business model that helps us be socially accountable to ourselves, to our stakeholders, and to the public. By practicing corporate social responsibility, we can be aware of the impact they are having on all aspects of society, including economic, social and environmental.

All Pearl Global Sourcing (PGS) manufacturing suppliers must obtain and maintain corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Our CSR program and adherence to the United Nations Global Compact Guiding Principles ensure that every aspect of our network fully supports and upholds ethical human rights.

  • NO CHILD LABOUR

Pearl Global Sourcing does not accept child labor in their production and actively works to combat it. Our staffs never work at night or in dangerous situations in the factories.

  • A FAIR WAGES AND BENEFITS POLICY

Wages and benefits paid for a standard work week must meet national legal standards or industry standards, whichever is higher. Wages should always be sufficient to meet basic needs and provide a reasonable income.

  • ACCEPTABLE WORKING HOURS

Working hours comply with national laws or benchmark industry standards, whichever are more beneficial to the specific workers.

  • NO HARSH OR INHUMANCE BEHAVIOR

Physical abuse or use of discipline, threats of physical abuse, sexual or other harassment and verbal abuse, or intimidation of any kind is strictly prohibited.

  • ACTIVE CARE FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY

All workers are entitled to work in an environment where their health and safety risks are adequately controlled. Under the Health and Safety Act, the primary responsibility for this rests with the employers.

  • FREEDOM TO FORM UNIONS

Workers have the right to join or form trade unions. Workers’ representatives can play their role in the workplace and are not discriminated against.
